MakerUp is free. Today and always.
We believe everyone should have access to professional tools to manage their 3D printing workshop, regardless of how many printers they own or whether they are just starting out. That is why MakerUp is completely free.
You can create an account, manage your projects, track your printers, organize your filament inventory, work out quotes and use all the main features of the platform without paying any subscription.
Our goal is to help more people turn their passion for 3D printing into a better-organized hobby or even a profitable business.
A project created by makers, for makers
MakerUp was born out of a real need.
For years we used spreadsheets, manufacturer apps, notes, folders full of STL files and different tools to try to organize a 3D printing workshop. The truth is that no platform was designed to manage a maker's day-to-day.
So we decided to build MakerUp: a platform created by someone who lives 3D printing and knows the real problems of the community.
Our priority is not to sell a subscription but to build the best possible tool for every maker.
MakerUp Community
Learn, share and help build the future of MakerUp
Although MakerUp is completely free, you can support the project by joining the official MakerUp Community on Skool.
For 8 USD a month or 50 € a year you get access to much more than a community.
Among other benefits you will find:
- Complete 3D printing courses.
- Step-by-step tutorials.
- Exclusive guides.
- Downloadable resources.
- Recommended settings.
- Community support.
- Live sessions.
- Monthly challenges.
- Early access to new features.
- A say in MakerUp's development.
The community is designed to learn, share experiences and grow alongside other makers, whatever your level of experience.
Most importantly, this subscription is completely optional.
You do not need to be part of the community to use MakerUp.
The platform will remain free for everyone.

A business model designed to benefit makers
We want MakerUp to stay free.
That is why we designed a business model that affects as little as possible the people who really make the platform grow: the makers.
Instead of locking features behind a paywall, we chose a model based on collaboration and creating value for the whole ecosystem.
Collaborations with manufacturers and brands
We will work with 3D printer manufacturers, filament brands, distributors and companies in the industry to offer new features, integrations and resources inside the platform.
These collaborations will let us keep developing MakerUp without passing that cost on to users.
Our commitment is that any collaboration brings real value to the community and never compromises the platform's independence.
Built-in marketplace
In the future, MakerUp will connect makers with clients through a built-in marketplace and handle buying and selling on the platform.
When a sale happens inside the platform, MakerUp will apply a 3% commission on the transaction.
This commission will help maintain and develop the service, allowing the main features to stay free.
Our goal is to keep the lowest commissions in the industry so the value created stays in makers' hands.
Our commitment
We want to build a platform that is sustainable in the long term.
We do not believe in locking essential features behind a mandatory subscription or in turning MakerUp into a tool out of reach for those just starting.
We believe the platform's success will depend on the success of its community. That is why our commitment is clear:
- Keep MakerUp free for every maker.
- Continuously listen to the community to improve the platform.
- Reinvest revenue in developing new features.
- Build an ecosystem where makers, companies and manufacturers can grow together.
