About MakerUp

MakerUp was born out of a real need.

MakerUp came to life after experiencing the same problem thousands of makers face every day.

Running a 3D printing workshop meant using spreadsheets, different apps for each printer, notes, folders full of STL files, WhatsApp chats with clients and multiple tools that were never designed to work together.

We realized there are excellent printers, very complete slicers and very good design programs, but no platform to help manage a maker's daily work from a single place.

And so MakerUp was born.

A platform created to organize workshops, automate tasks and help anyone enjoy 3D printing more and spend less time on management.

A project created by makers, for makers

MakerUp is built by Miquel and Caroline, two people passionate about innovation and 3D printing who share the same vision: to create the platform they wish they had had when they started out in this world.

From Barcelona, we combine experience in engineering, industrial automation, marketing and product development to build a tool that helps any maker organize their work better, grow their business and be part of a community where knowledge is shared.

MakerUp did not start as a business idea but as the solution to a problem we live every day ourselves. That is why every feature is built around the real needs of the maker community.

Who is behind MakerUp

Miquel Rey

Miquel is an Industrial Design Engineer and works as an Industrial Process Engineer, specializing in automation, logistics and manufacturing process optimization.

For years he has combined his profession with one of his great passions: 3D printing. He creates content under the name SoyMaker3D, sharing projects, tutorials, comparisons and 3D printing tips with a community of thousands of makers on social media.

His experience in both industry and content creation helped identify many of the problems people who print in 3D face every day, giving rise to MakerUp.

Caroline

Caroline brings the strategic and organizational vision that drives MakerUp's growth.

She holds a double degree in Business Administration and Marketing, with international experience in business and management environments. Her background complements the platform's technical development with a perspective focused on strategy, organization and user experience.

Within MakerUp she takes part in product definition, project planning, growth strategy and marketing.

Her goal is for MakerUp to be not only a great tool to manage 3D printing workshops but also a close, useful brand able to bring value to thousands of makers around the world.

Much more than an app

MakerUp does not want to be just software to manage workshops. Our vision is to build the most complete ecosystem for the maker community.

A place where you can:

All from a single platform.

Built together with the community

From day one we were clear that MakerUp should not be developed within four walls. The best ideas come from the people who use 3D printing every day.

That is why we continuously listen to the community, share development transparently and turn many of their suggestions into new features.

Every comment, every proposal and every conversation helps build a better platform.

MakerUp is not our project. It is the whole maker community's project.

Our mission

Our mission is to help every maker organize, manage and grow their 3D printing workshop through intuitive tools, automation and a community where knowledge is shared.

We want to simplify daily work so makers can spend less time organizing and more time designing and creating.

Our vision

We aim to make MakerUp the reference platform for 3D printing.

An ecosystem where makers, companies, manufacturers and clients can connect, collaborate and manage their whole activity from a single place.

We want to push 3D printing forward by offering tools that support anyone from their first print to the management of professional workshops and production farms.

Thank you for being part of MakerUp

MakerUp has only just begun, but our ambition is huge.

We want to build the tool we always wished we had when we started in 3D printing.

Every user who signs up, every suggestion we receive, every shared project and every member who joins the community helps us keep improving.

Thank you for trusting MakerUp and for joining us on this journey.

Together we are building much more than an app — we are building the future of the maker community.
