What is MakerUp?
MakerUp is a platform designed to help makers, entrepreneurs and professionals manage their whole 3D printing workshop from a single place.
It lets you organize projects, track printers, manage filament inventory, work out quotes, plan production, show a public profile and connect with other makers through a platform created specifically for the additive manufacturing sector.
Our goal is to simplify day-to-day management so you can spend more time creating and less time organizing.
Is MakerUp free?
Yes.
MakerUp is completely free and you can use all the main features of the platform at no cost.
We believe everyone should have access to professional tools to manage their 3D printing workshop, whether they own a single printer or a production farm.
There is also an official Skool Community with exclusive content for those who want to learn more and support the project's development, but joining is entirely optional.
Do I need to pay to use MakerUp?
No.
The platform can be used for free.
The MakerUp Community subscription only gives access to courses, tutorials, exclusive resources, live sessions and active participation in the project's development.
All the main management features will stay free.
Which printers are compatible?
MakerUp is designed to be manufacturer-independent. You can register practically any FDM 3D printer.
Our goal is for the platform to be usable regardless of the brand of your machines.
Can I manage several printers?
Yes.
You can register as many printers as you need and organize all the information about each one.
You can track their status, location, maintenance, history, depreciation and documentation from a single platform.
MakerUp is designed both for users with a single printer and for workshops and print farms with dozens of machines.
How does the Calculator work?
The MakerUp Calculator automatically works out the real cost of each print taking into account factors such as:
- Filament used.
- Print time.
- Power consumption.
- Printer depreciation.
- Labor.
- Additional costs.
- Profit margin.
That way you can generate professional quotes and know the profitability of each project.
How does the filament inventory work?
Each spool has its own card inside MakerUp.
When you log a print or finish a project, the system automatically updates the stock of the material used.
You can also check consumption history, organize inventory by location and browse the filament catalog to compare materials and colors across manufacturers.
What are public projects?
Each project can be set as public or private. Private projects are visible only to you.
Public projects appear on your Maker profile so any visitor can discover your work and request that same product with a single click.
It is an easy way to turn your past work into a permanent product catalog.
Can I sell my prints on MakerUp?
Yes.
MakerUp's goal is to make it easier for makers and clients to connect.
You can show your public profile, publish your projects and receive requests directly from the platform.
In future versions we will also add a built-in marketplace to make buying and selling 3D printed products easier.
How does MakerUp make money if it is free?
Our goal is to keep MakerUp free for every maker.
To achieve that, the business model is mainly based on:
- Collaborations with manufacturers and distributors in the industry.
- Integrations with 3D printing brands.
- The official MakerUp Community.
- A small 3% commission on sales made inside the marketplace.
That way we avoid locking the platform's main features behind mandatory subscriptions.
Where can I learn to use MakerUp?
All official documentation, tutorials and resources live inside the official MakerUp Community.
There you will also find complete 3D printing courses, live sessions, downloadable resources and a community of makers sharing knowledge and experience.
Is my data safe?
Yes.
The security and privacy of your data is a priority.
MakerUp uses encrypted connections, secure authentication systems and good development practices to protect all stored information.
Our commitment is to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our users' data.
Can I request new features?
Of course.
MakerUp is developed together with its community.
Many of today's features come directly from proposals made by community members themselves.
You can share new ideas, vote on improvements and take part in the platform's evolution from the official Community.

We have a public Roadmap where we share features in development, planned improvements and what is coming in future versions.
